One of my favorite sci-fi thrillers.

1. very original visual style.

2. Bright actors and well-drawn characters that you can empathize with.

3. Good plot and continuous action. 4.

4. Very skillful balancing on the edge of thrash, from which the movie, in our case, becomes even brighter and non-trivial.

5. Not a bad soundtrack (although I'm not a fan of heavy music).

Bottom line - quite a bright and memorable movie, which, in my opinion, sooner or later awaits a remake (as most of the works of such masters as Carpenter).
