For me, "Notting Hill" is a movie that doesn’t sit on the shelf for long. I’ve watched it many times and will watch it just as many more.
Hugh Grant is flawless; I adore his facial expressions, his charming wrinkles, and his image as a romantic with “swept-back” hair. This is definitely his role; it’s unlikely anyone else could have played it with such precision and charm. Julia Roberts was flawless; for me, the highlight was her line about being an ordinary girl who came to a guy and told him she loved him... At that moment, tears just well up in my eyes.
The movie wouldn’t be interesting without the main character’s friends, who are so diverse and interesting in their own ways.
Strangely enough, all my friends—whose tastes usually lean toward dark humor, thrillers, and horror movies—enjoy watching this romantic comedy, and they’ve seen it more than once.
