It hurts him to hear the jokes, so he decides to punish all the townspeople. In this case, his plan can be seen not only as revenge on concrete individuals from a particular town. If it succeeds, the green and furry introvert will be the most successful animated villain in the world, because he aimed at something sacred. The main character wants to steal everyone's beloved holiday, which is waiting for the whole year to celebrate with family and friends. Grinch is going to kidnap New Year's Eve and deprive all citizens of the much-awaited joy. The green villain is sure that the people deserve to be punished, and without a buzzing celebration the world will be much calmer and no one will interfere with his shopping.
