'Monsters of Man' is, in general, not a bad sight in the framework of a fantastic action in the B-movie category, but with great conventions, of course. Here is exactly the case when the creator of the picture, being in one person and a screenwriter, director, operator, and producer, not to mention the fact that he is also the head of his own film company, made only worse, since there was no a person who would say, hint or at least advise about any changes and mistakes.
A completely empty plot, stupid dialogues and disgusting acting literally smeared the picture on the wall. The director, for whom this is also a debut in all areas of filmmaking, showed that he knows a lot about good action, since there is a lot of it here, and it was shot quite well. Say what you like, but from a technical point of view, there are practically no questions, but in everything else, there are considerable problems.
The director does not know how to work with actors, turning some scenes literally into a farce; there is not a single revealed (or even understandable) character in the plot. What the author wanted to convey to the viewer is read already in the middle of the story, but, unfortunately, he could not correctly tell it, therefore we get a torn plot without beginning and end, the absence of characters as such and no intelligible narration.
But in any case, if we discard all claims and turn off the brain for a while, then we get a fairly strong beshka with all the ensuing consequences.
By the way, it should be added that the brain will have to be turned off for a rather long time, since the length of the film is 131 minutes (2 hours 11 minutes). Now, if I could notably cut the cron, removing all unnecessary, make the right accents in the plot with rewritten dialogues, then it would have turned out to be an excellent action movie. Happy viewing.
