A fable about an ex-military man named Roy, who is caught in a time loop and lives the same day over and over again. And everything would be radiant and carefree, if it were not for a bunch of psychopathic scumbags hunting for the main character. And every time they make over him a cruel massacre: then shoot him, then make a sword, or colorfully blast him. Roy will have to deal with a difficult situation to get out of this endless cycle...
A fantastic time loop-themed action movie with a dose of humor and all sorts of gunfights and bang-bangs. Although Mel Gibson shines in the movie as the gray-haired schoolboy, but the film clearly gives the low-budget: cheap computer special effects and blood. The plot is pretty simple, and reckless drive at times alternates protracted dialogue, which can be cut in half.
But with all that, it is interesting and fun to watch the film, and the moments with chases and gunfights are a lot of fun. We get a beat-up and headbanging protagonist wandering around the time ring - a little madness never hurts.
Through the explosive drive, the creators of the picture managed to touch on a number of topics concerning family values, irresponsible fathers and the consequences of mistakes made in the past. It is time to think about those moments in life that cannot be returned.
Moral: If your life has become Groundhog Day, and all the days have merged into a monotonous routine, it is time to quit your job and go on a trip around the world.
All in all, not a bad attempt at a mix of action and time loops with a bent toward a no-holds-barred hilarity.
