Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind 4K 2004

There were several things that made me want to watch it: a beautiful and intriguing title, a stellar cast, a long announcement, and being in the top 250 on IMDB. How disappointed I was!

Of course, I'm far from a connoisseur of cinema, but this movie didn't hook me in the slightest. The first 20 minutes were rather interesting, but the process of memory wiping seemed to me just a set of gibberish scenes, which sense reveals from the first time only to especially gifted ones. However I don't have the slightest desire to re-watch this creation. And it's not even that I didn't understand the director's idea. I was just bored. The characters of Jim Carrey and Kate Winslet didn't make me want to empathize with them, their actions annoyed me. Personally, I don't understand how such supposedly great and bright love between these people could arise. I did not feel any sincerity in their relationship. I can't even imagine what a passive wimp Joel is, the kind of guy you can only date out of pity. The other characters were just as infuriating.

In general, the idea of the movie deserves respect, but I did not like the implementation. I don't feel that watching this movie has enriched my inner world.
