Old Henry is shot in somber tones, harsh nature, hard work, gray landscapes. The narrative is slow, but unstunted, the picture is 99 minutes long. The film is very believable, excellent casting of actors. A monotonous picture, with vivid flashes of violence, all doing their job. Father and son do their job. The bandits do their job, there's no sadism in their actions, it's routine because it's the way it has to be, it's their world, it's the only way in this world. We are shown a couple of days in the life of a farmer who finds a wounded man with a gun and some money. The decision is made by our hero, next will be the events that would be in any location and at any time, the money has a master and he will come for it.
Of interest, there are no female roles in the film, it is not a woman's business. The movie is good, but not a masterpiece, 5 years ago I probably wouldn't have paid attention to it, but since they hardly make anything nowadays, I'm glad for any, just a good movie. The musical theme in the finale touches to the core, the only place where you can feel sorry for yourself, up to this point, there was no time for that, you had to survive.
As a result, the world changes, the last villains are gone, they have no place in the new world.
