There is, however, for me personally, a certain charm in old sci-fi movies. Nowadays it is impossible to watch them seriously - ridiculous, in our opinion, special effects, a different acting style from today's (primarily overacting) and silly scripts (this is incidentally characteristic of many modern films).
As a result, War of the Worlds and other sci-fi films of the 1900s-1960s are a sight for sore eyes. In the 21st century this film will surprise no one with its scale and special effects, and certainly not frighten them. Rather, it will make you smile and laugh. But for many film lovers these films are curious, as an artifact of the era, and they are worth getting acquainted with anyway to broaden your horizons.
