The Finnish war action 'SISU' is the American 'John Wick', where a lonely soldier nicknamed Koschey the Immortal together with a little dog first half of the film runs from the Nazis to save the gold he has found, and then, having lost it, the other half of the film is already running after the Nazis to get the gold back.
The structure of the film is done in the bright colors of a classic western with the emphasis on the silent gazes of the characters and the overpowering atmosphere of overpowering cruelty. There is not much dialogue and the protagonist is silent for 99% of the story. The plot is maximally simple, but the gusto is far from it as the spectator is absorbed in a fascinating journey with a lot of gruesome and high quality action at the same time. The hero justifies his nickname to the full, as he gets shot, blown up and hanged, but he does not care about anything, because there is a goal, which must be achieved at any cost. In general, if you like filth and blood, or rather senseless and merciless slaughter with brutal characters, this movie is for you.
