This movie is about unconventional creative youth, about those people who do not fit well into the rigidly regulated society, about weirdos living in their own world. The interests of the main characters are far from finding an answer to the commonplace question 'Who, with whom, where and when?', as in 'American Pie' and many other youth comedies. Such guys you want to respect and take them seriously, regardless of their mannerisms and appearance. Even the villain of 'The Plague' is funny and you can feel his intelligence.
The movie is very fast-paced, the allegories of surfing the net and the super-computer device etc. are wonderful. It's over 12 years old, it's not easy to find on DVD, and a movie like this is a must-have in your collection.
