Well, here it is, the last movie in the series. Don't scold me, but I like it more than the others.
The plot in a nutshell: After the events of the third installment, several years have passed. Norman finally got out of the asylum and lived a happy life with his wife. However, everything changed one day when he finds out that his wife is pregnant. Norman is afraid that his child will grow up to be the same maniac and decides to kill his wife while waiting for her to come home from work.
This basically becomes the main storyline of the movie. Within an hour Norman calls to the television program KTK and talks to the host, step by step telling about his difficult life with a crazy mother. She, in turn, tries to talk him out of murder.
Every now and then throughout the movie there are flashbacks to the past where the still alive Mrs. Bates (who is very beautiful by the way) gradually goes mad. It is because of this that I consider the movie to be the most profound and dramatic picture of the series. Very colorfully shown love of a mother to madness to her native son. After watching this movie, you realize that Norman's mother was not such a monster, as her son made her out to be during the previous parts. And she deserved to die only in Norman's eyes.
