Growing up is a process that goes through the life of every being on Earth. Man has the hardest time of all, at one point he needs to give up most of the entertainment and waste time, in order to survive a person needs to go earn money, helping his family and relatives. The creator of the animated series “Family Guy” came up with a great move. Under the guise of a bear, he spelled out in the script the essence of man - laziness and unwillingness to do something for someone else.
When John was eight and had no friends, he wished that Ted the bear would come to life. His wish came true, and Ted became a star for a while. Time passed, the hero got a girlfriend, but continues to live with the bear. This does not like Laurie, who asks John to reduce the time of communication with Ted to a minimum. The hero will have to make a choice that will change his whole life.
From the first seconds of the credits, it becomes clear that the creators of “Family Guy” had a hand in the project. Musical numbers only contribute to this. They relax the viewer with their jazz improvisations, giving the opportunity to fully immerse in the plot of the picture. The authors tried to hurt everyone with their humor, but in such a way that you don't want to take offense at them. Screenwriters not only touched on interethnic and political problems, but also went through the stars of music, television and movies. The guy who played “Green Lantern” should be really ashamed of the product that comic book fans saw in the movie, since he agreed to such a role.
The director created not a soulless trinket, but a project endowed with a bright sense of humor and bright characters.
The script perfectly tells the backstory of the characters in the credits (what happened to ni-mi for twenty years of friendship). Gradually the plot introduces the matured heroes and secondary characters. The last part of the picture sags a bit, because McFarlane tries to play on the dramatic side, which turns out to be much worse than the comedic vein.
Mark Wahlberg played an ordinary man without expending any unreal forces, but so that he completely dissolves in his character. And about the fight with Ted and to talk about it, it is worth several Wahlberg's “Fighters”.
Mila Kunis is not enough, but it is enough for her to fully reveal her character.
Giovanni Ribisi played a memorable villain, these roles come out of him every time better.
Fans of the series “Family Guy” had the opportunity to also see most of the voice actors, to whom the director gave out small, but important for the plot of the role.
The creators paid homage to the Flash Gordon series, the music of Queen and the Star Wars franchise.
“Ted” is a shallow and playing with templates picture, despite this moving on a classic plot. The actors, script, music and humor set this project apart from most films released this year.
