The movie is great! Fred Dekker did his best, he wrote the script and directed it himself. The plot, by the way, is very good.
In general, the movie is cool and what I like most of all in it is the atmosphere, no, it is not scary or depressing, I would say, rather mystical, as well as a good musical accompaniment. The first time I watched the movie at the age of 9, and he then, I remember scares me, not much, but still goosebumps ran, and now, just amusing, I really like to sometimes revisit it.
It turned out to be a kind of youth-comedy horror, in my opinion, one of the most interesting and best of the late 80's. Of course, the zombies in this movie are not really zombies, their task is not to eat people, but to move them slugs that lay eggs in their brains. Again I repeat, the idea (plot) is wonderful, to combine aliens, slugs and zombies, all this is so competently done that there is nothing to complain about. Actors also played very well, each of them deserves praise, especially liked the role of Tom Atkins. In short, the movie deserves a definite 10 points. By the way, it is something like the recently released 'Slug', but only, of course, a hundred times worse than 'Night of the Creeps'.
Night of the Creeps', eh, it's impossible to convey all the feelings left after the movie, at least for me. If you get a chance to see it, don't hesitate, take (buy) and watch it, I'm sure that those who like horror movies will love this masterpiece.
