After watching the trailer of The Informant I immediately decided that I will watch this movie, the plot is interesting, the main actor Matt Damon and the director of Ocean's 11, 12 and 13, what could be better?
But the movie was not as interesting as I imagined it to be, the action in this movie develops quite slowly, but that's not the problem, this movie balances somewhere between comedy and drama, which is in itself a very difficult and often impossible task. The humor is present but it is mostly based on the main character's lies and subsequent confessions, at first it's funny but then it gets boring. And this is the pace, without an exciting plot, and not the funniest jokes pass a little more than an hour and a half. This movie is saved from complete failure by Matt Damon, who tries in every possible way to pull this picture out.
Overall, an average movie that sometimes makes you smile, but clearly disappointing after a promising trailer.
