People who think “Jason X” is a stupid movie are wrong. I'm a fan of the series, but I don't think the tenth installment spoils it much. Friday of course it can no longer be called it, but there is something special in it, something that no other movie in the series will give.
Calm music of Harry Manfredini, steel Terminator-Jason shining like a polished piece of silver, utopian technologies, all this space with space stations and ships seeming to be toys. In my opinion, the movie was simply misunderstood. Personally, it was only the first time I saw it as Horror.
It wasn't until the second viewing that I realized that the movie was simply a fantasy tale. In fact, by removing all the murders and making Jason some sort of evil robot, the movie could be safely given to children under sixteen. At least it would have made more money....
I give it four points for the original plot and thanks for dropping the idea of sticking Jason in Africa or the North Pole.
