When I was very young, I hadn't seen the film, but I knew about the animated series inspired by the panther from the opening credits. Realizing that I wouldn't see her in the movie, I thought that Inspector Clouseau was called “The Pink Panther.” In these films, the opening credits alone are already classics of animation.
The character of Inspector Clouseau continues the traditions of Keaton and Chaplin: “When a character is portrayed in a comical way, he refuses to admit that something strange has happened to him and stubbornly maintains his dignity.” At the same time, the dialogues are just as good:
“He's crazy!
We don't use that word here.
What word do you use here?
Well, well...
He's completely ‘well, well’!”
-Dialogue in a madhouse. The hilarious story of how Clouseau ended up in this house can be seen in this part.
After watching the Pink Panther series, you feel happier, thanks to them you look at minor annoyances differently, and you laugh at yourself more easily.
