The only good things about this film are the famous jazz melody and the Latin American-style song.
There is no comedy or adventure. Most of the action takes place in the rooms of a hotel, where a real showdown takes place, only in an aristocratic setting. Everyone chatters away throughout the entire film. There is a lot of talking, but nothing meaningful for the mind or heart. All you hear every few seconds is “darling” and “dear.” Kisses between a young beauty and an elderly man... through numb lips. A ridiculous and nauseating flirtation, reeking of mothballs, implying that all the resort guests, except for one honest man, are prone to doggy sex: fast, frenzied, and with all potential partners, regardless of close kinship and age difference. And what is especially disgusting is that the whole plot is built on mocking this one honest man for his lack of funds (in reality, he is of average means). After all, his wife cheats on him with anyone higher up the social ladder, just to get a sweet life.
The ending is frightening in its cynicism: like attracts like. The cream of society criminally unites with those who are also always at the top, just to satisfy their desires.
