Bowfinger—that’s what they called this movie here, and not only is the guy cool, but the movie itself is too. Over the past few years, I haven’t seen a funnier or more entertaining comedy than this one. I’m not sure how Steve Martin has managed to maintain his reputation as Hollywood’s most wholesome comedian in modern cinema, but he really does make insanely funny, heartwarming, and completely wholesome movies that, on top of that, manage to do pretty well at the box office!

The secret of this comedy lies first and foremost in the fact that the lead roles are played by first-rate actors who have remained favorites on the American screen for many years and are mega-popular here as well—Steve Martin and Eddie Murphy. Everyone knows they’re great at making people laugh. And the other secret lies in the screenplay, written by the great comedian Steve Martin. The cast is perfectly assembled—everyone is in their element! In this film, the screenwriter and director are unquestionably on the same page. No wonder—Martin and Oz are old friends...

In short, if you haven’t seen it yet, you absolutely must—it’s hilarious, simple, and accessible.
