They Live 4K 1988 US

An excellent film, unfortunately at one time not understood and invaluable. Once in my childhood I watched it on videotape and it seemed to me like an ordinary cheap fantastic action movie. Having reviewed it many years later, at a much more mature age, I can state - THE FILM IS GREAT!

Behind the façade of the standard sci-fi action movie starring Roddy Piper (who, incidentally, was considered a wrestling superstar in those years, like today's Rock of Johnston) hides a very powerful social drama. One has only to mentally change the aliens for today's global financial and power elite, and the film will sparkle with new, very bright colors!

The film is very remarkable about how people are manipulated, dulled and hypnotized by the media and advertising. What's interesting is that the film is already 20 years old - and it is very relevant in today's times of globalization.
