Finally it happened! The long-awaited Godzilla vs. Kong crossover hit the big screens and I watched it on the very first day of the show!
Adam Wingard can be congratulated. He put out the best monster movie. Yes, finally, the main characters are monsters. People turned out to be the background. This is exactly what I wanted. I scolded 'Godzilla 2' for fights that were interspersed between scenes with people. Wingard did the opposite and it turned out just right! The level of battles is comparable to Del Toro's 'Pacific Rim'. At some point, you just start rooting for one of the duelists, like in a sports arena. The visual range defies any verbal description. You have to see it to believe it! I even want to comment out loud every action, every blow. I was just as happy as a little child. Junkie XL music complements the picture. The composer wrote a soundtrack suitable for the action.
Returning to human characters - they are not only a background, they are also mostly petty and greedy. And twice for this film they get what they deserve for their greed. Well, almost exactly like in the Heisei-era of Godzilla films (films from 1984 to 1995). By the way, for fans of Godzilla with great experience, there is also something to profit from here - there are many references to the 1962 film, when the two titans first met in battle.
