The cartoon attracted my attention first of all because Darren Aronofsky bought the rights to it in order to use one of the scenes in his movie “Requiem for a Dream”. So, this scene (a girl screaming in the bathroom), as it turned out, copied exactly, but that's not the main thing. The main thing is that the cartoon turned out to be simply excellent. The story begins with a singer with a horribly squeaky voice decides to leave the band and become an actress. It is clear that the fans do not like it. That's when various threats fall on the head of the newly-made actress, hinting that she has made a wrong decision.
Everything starts out calm and straightforward, but as the protagonist begins to slowly go mad from the constant threats, the story becomes confused. You have to work hard not to lose the thread of the plot. At the same time, the tension and the so-called saspens increase. The heroine is constantly glitching and it becomes quite difficult to catch where the reality, and where fantasies. But the unexpected ending almost puts everything in its place, although I still have some questions about the plot. In the cartoon, by the way, there are a couple of pseudo-endings, when it seems that everything is clear, but no, the confusion continues. So don't relax.
Animation and drawing good, but no more than that. There are no 3d-inserts, everything is drawn by hand, after all, the cartoon came out quite a long time ago. Blood and nudity is present in considerable quantities, so that children should not watch it. Although something super hard and frank I did not see. One disadvantage, and even then a small one - excessive confusion of the plot in the second half. In general, I think the picture can be recommended to fans of anime and tense mystical thrillers. I liked the cartoon very much, it's up to you....
