There is a subgenre in anime called “rethinking the past.” We all wanted to become someone and achieve something after school. And now you're in your thirties, and not only did you not become who you wanted to be, but you've simply turned into a dreary loser.
In “The Town Where Only I Am Missing,” the main character's consciousness returned to the body of a 9-year-old, and in another anime, a 30-year-old man became younger as an experiment and went to school. In “Her Blue Sky,” one of the key characters split in two, leaving behind a 18-year-old version of himself.
If we leave the realism of what is happening aside, we are presented with a powerful drama with a touch of fantasy. The characters are pleasant, realistic, and well-written. The voice acting from Reanimedia is, as always, very impressive.
