Made primarily from video footage of the astronauts on the various Apollo missions, this film is made into a single, eighty-minute story that begins with the astronauts' preparation for flight and ends with their successful return.
There is no doubt that this film depicts one of the greatest achievements in the history of all mankind. But first and foremost, it is one for the American people. For us, people whose lives are linked to the history of the Soviet Union, this achievement is certainly not so important, since we have our own reasons to be proud of in the history of space exploration.
But if you forget about nationality, it's hard to underestimate the significance of what this film is about. And in conveying his feelings, one of those astronauts, looking at Earth, personifies himself, above all, with all of humanity!
Fascinating footage of this story that is still hard to believe. Comments from the people who made it happen, their memories and impressions. All this allows the viewer to imagine the sensations that the astronauts themselves experienced, and draws the viewer into their own journey to the moon.
