One of the most powerful and chilling films I've seen. Incomprehensible is the only suitable word to describe all the pain and understanding of the inevitability of what is happening.
Just three words - "Sympathy for the Lord's revenge" - the best that can be said about the picture. Endless sympathy for the two men, who set the goal of avenging the life of the closest person above their own lives, permeates the entire film. And this is one of the rare cases in cinema when you do not know who you feel sorry for more, and there are no guilty ones in this story. Bad fate, coincidence of circumstances, a chain of deaths, which originates from the reduction of another poor Korean at the factory, who needs to feed his family. And this chain, it seems, has long been woven by fate itself and leaves no choice.
You look, and you desperately want to believe that this does not happen in real life ... It does not happen when everything is so infinitely bad, and every minute it gets worse ... But, unfortunately, not endlessly - everything comes to an end. What a bitter irony of fate - everyone was avenged, and this was the only possible more or less successful outcome ...
See if you think everything is bad in your life. After such a story, more than ever, you want to live and be happy, although you will hardly be able to forget the films of Park Chang-Uk, and the severity of what you saw will not leave soon, but such a movie must be seen in order to know what life is worth.
