It seemed that nothing boded trouble, judging by the trailer, in addition to ugly computer graphics, but it turned out that the main characters in the picture would be a feminist and her gay brother, who are going to save humanity from all diseases. And if it were not for Johnson's character, constantly mocking Emily Blunt in trousers and, in general, the moderately used LGBT propaganda, then the film would definitely turn out to be unattainable for me.
There is a faint whiff of quality adventure films like Indiana Jones or National Treasures in the film. It is weak because there is magic, and if in Indiana Jones it does not spoil the film, then on the contrary, it works not to give the plot intrigue and suspense, but to simplify the work of the screenwriter - we explain all the controversial moments with magic. It all looks even worse with computer graphics, from which only solid fake comes out.
The image of Dwayne Johnson, a healthy man, clumsily jumping on a small and crumbling boat, is amusing. His name is Frank and he lives by breeding naive tourists, joking stupidly and giving out debts, which again is not typical of his size and therefore adds to the comic of the film.
Overall, the film is good. It's interesting, funny and intense. True, by the end, it starts to fail, but due to the gigantic flow of low-quality paintings for more than ten years, such, to be honest, rather weak work like "Jungle Cruise" seems to be quite good.
