The first film adaptation of the novel by H.G. Wells about the Invisible Man took place in 1933. The project was directed by James Weil and the studio was directed by the famous Universal Pictures, which gave the world such titans of the horror genre as Dracula, Frankenstein's monster and the mummy. Of course, now these films no longer cause fear, but in those days they were a real breakthrough and could tickle the nerves of inexperienced viewers.
As for the film "The Invisible Man", he had not only a great influence on the horror genre, but also played an equally important role in science fiction.
Although I have not read the book on which the film was created, and I cannot compare the plot of the picture and the novel. But if it is not tied to the book, then it turned out to be interesting and exciting. The film looks very easy from start to finish and arouses not fake interest and desire to watch it again.
Also in this picture, one of the first primitive special effects were applied, which are quite enough for the viewer to believe that an invisible person is really present on the screen.
