Air Force One 4K 1997

While Roland Emmerich let the President himself climb into the cockpit in his Independence Day as an experienced fighter pilot putting up a show against the aliens, Wolfgang Petersen did it in Air Force One, a thriller from 1997 starring Harrison Ford (US President), Gary Oldman (the villain), and Glenn Close as United States Vice. An instant box office hit, Air Force One depicts the jet fortress being kidnapped by terrorists on its way to the Russian capital where James Marshall (Harrison Ford) is going to to pronounce his zero-tolerance on terrorism. The irony of it is that a group of terrorists led by Ivan Korshunov (Gary Oldman) kidnap his plane and took his family hostage threatening to kill hostages at will. Seemingly, a no-way-to-run kind of situation. Not this time. The action is not something Air Force One can brag about. Everything is utilitarian to a point where it hurts. Once you find yourself in a middle of this movie, things just can not go wrong. The president can hide at the last second and is now planning a counterattack. So the standoff begins...
