The final third part of the trilogy "Three Colors" by Krzysztof Kieslowski turned out to be the best. The film penetrates the viewer to the bone and leaves a trail behind. I love this movie. In it, every scene is thought out to the smallest detail. The director puts his picture with an interesting, unusual story and in a hypnotic atmosphere. Naturally, red prevails everywhere, comparable to the red color of a traffic light, as if it warns against something.
In this story, we see a young, pure girl who does not have a personal life. One day, she knocks a dog in a car, and at the address on a collar takes it to the owner. Meeting with him becomes fateful, and the girl changes everything in this man's life. Before us is the story of loneliness and innate peace, the theme of love and fateful, inexplicable events ...
This stunning drama was the director's latest work. He died soon after. I love this parting gift of his very much, and I would like to thank Kieslowski. The film is much deeper than meets the eye. Looking at it a second time, you can notice many of the nuances of the picture and the plot, which could have been ignored at first, but they are extremely important, constituting one big puzzle. Watching this movie, you feel all the pain and loneliness of the main characters. This is the merit of the director, and of course the actors themselves.
Dear Irene Jacob is a wonderful actress. The role of this girl is one of her best and most famous works, not counting, of course, The Double Life of Veronica, for which she received the Golden Palm. Jacob has an angelic face and soulful eyes. It was after this film that I fell in love with her and began to get acquainted with her work. The inimitable Jean-Louis Trintignant never ceases to amaze the viewer with his deepest performance. He is a master of complex and difficult roles, and this is his role. His hero, a judge in his soul, had been dead for a long time, but his acquaintance with a pure girl awakened life in him, and something clicked inside. The duo of the main characters was quite enticing.
I want to note that the whole film looks with interest, it is like one big secret from the irony of fate. The finale of this story is simply impossible to forget. He simply hypnotizes the viewer, and nothing else exists. So many emotions, experiences, feelings you experience when watching a movie. What can I say, Krzysztof Kieslowski is a genius as a director, and his picture was appreciated by all the main film critics of the world, and the film received the most prestigious nominations.
Three Colors: Red is a European detective drama with a 1994 melodrama flavor. The film sums up Kieslowski's career and is undoubtedly a masterpiece. The picture is extremely deep and powerful. I recommend this delightful film to all true connoisseurs of the drama genre. Thanks!
