You can refer to the Williams sisters as athletes in different ways, but they undoubtedly left the brightest mark in the history of sports. They deserved a film adaptation of the beginning of their sports career, but the audience also deserved a quality movie.
Of the advantages of this picture is Will Smith and the entire cast itself. The positive aspects include interesting inserts of tennis matches, otherwise this is a rather boring picture. The problems of the African-American ghetto are very superficially indicated, and in general, all the obstacles on the way to the top of two black girls do not look catchy, there is no any depth. Their path was really difficult and I would like to feel at least a part of it, in order to truly feel the story of success and overcoming at the end.
The result was a fragmentary story, where they outlined in general terms what this family had to face, and for filming they used household items that looked like real ones. That's all you have to be content with.
It's not a bad movie, but it doesn't evoke feelings of admiration either. It will be interesting to see the visualization of the Wikipedia article about these sisters.
