In spite of the fact that many consider this film not Hitchcock's best work, 'Family Conspiracy' deserves the highest rating, because the plot, the direction, the camerawork, the casting, the acting, and of course the soundtrack are made at the highest level, at Hitchcock's level.
The plot is a finely intricate story that has everything: family secrets, a major heist, a man-woman relationship, light ventures, assassination attempts, secret rooms, and even a bit of magic. Hitchcock as a director did not disappoint as usual: the entire film had me suspenseful and pleasantly intrigued as to where the two
parallel storylines (the kind of state you stay in when watching the films of this genius director). The music and the acting only add more fuel to the fire.
Do not miss this thriller, the 54th and the last film by Alfred Hitchcock.
