It's a bit unusual for the big screen. It is an action movie, with a good budget, with stars, with a lot of shootings, but not a blockbuster at all. The film is serious enough. The plot could have been more interesting, instead of speculating head-on about the theme of the day. But the manners among the mercenaries are shown in an interesting way. And if you keep in mind that not so long ago they all were in the army, it becomes even more interesting. The action scenes are well filmed. But the emphasis is not on a pretty picture, but on verisimilitude. That is why the grenades do not explode with a huge flame flash like in a gas tank explosion, and the cars riddled with bullets do not explode at all. The actors play well, but one should not expect from the ex-military men violent emotions and displays of affection, everything is very restrained. The movie has a very unusual audio component. There is almost no music. In fact, there is almost always musical accompaniment, there is as much music as in any other movie. But it is very unobtrusive, often there is only one instrument. That's why there is a deceptive sensation of silence.
The movie is for men. Children and women are unlikely to be interested. But I liked it.
