I love noir films. There is something subtly realistic about their portrayal of our daily lives. They are like an antiseptic against the decay of the mind, showing the audience all the falsehood and all the real essence of the human race, the true motives and aspirations of man. They always unparalleledly reveal the essence of Chaos and the influence of every detail, every detail on the consequences of the actions committed.
This is confirmed by the picture of the genius Stanley Kubrick, who was little known to the masses at that time, which became a classic long time ago. By all parameters, masterfully filmed film even today looks fresh and not naive, unlike many old movies, also recognized as classics. Apparently, the reason for all this was the astounding wit of the director, who was years ahead of the trends of world cinematography.
The film is flawless in composition and consists of two main parts almost equal in time (40 minutes): 1st - preparation, 2nd - the commission. The dynamics do not take your breath away; everything is just in the same breath. The actors play flawlessly and naturally.
Kudos to Stanley Kubrick, who never made a single movie in his entire career, not even average!
