A very slow and drawn-out thriller with an extremely short running time. A kind of thesis, which should be strictly minimal in volume and correspond to the stated theme in content. The film is clearly approached without proper enthusiasm: a typical plot, a minimal set of actors, very uncomplicated dialogues and two and a half locations filled with huge evil crocodiles. The movie was probably 25 to 30 years too late for release. But most importantly - it is not possible to refer it to the horror genre. When watching it there is not even a minimum of tension and a sense of fear, the viewer is only 'unnaturally covered in blood. The laudable story between the main characters is limited to a single repetitive flashback [note: at running time 01:27 we'll see the same scene from the same angle twice], and the characters' actions are filled with nonsense and a few semantic inconsistencies as usual. As a separate narrative thread, we see how in one day the titled swimmer grows into a 'superhuman': the little girl who runs away in fear in a damp basement turns into a cold-blooded reptile killer who is not afraid of bites and wounds. A specimen of passable hackwork.
The enormous budget for this brainchild remains a mystery. The crocodiles, though well acted, could not have cost that much.
Even the most meager expectations are not met by this film, it is not worth the recommendation even for a single viewing.
