'Bodies, Bodies, Bodies' is a cool and fun Mafia-like party game. A leaf marked with a cross makes its owner a hunter. The hunter must stealthily kill players until they win. The player, upon discovering a body, must shout loudly 'BODY, BODY, BODY!' and then the lights turn on, there is an opportunity to identify the murderer.
Seven people, alcohol, loud music, a variety of illegal substances, country house, night, hurricane. Camera, action! The game is on. Someone was killed and went to bed early, and someone died in real life. Suspicion, scandals, youth slang, female friendship and female logic. New victims. Prescription drugs to calm down. Music again. Thunderclaps.
'Bodies, Bodies, Bodies' is structurally a very successful thriller that keeps the viewer in suspense, has a nerve, a narrative thread. With a total running time of 94 minutes, an hour of it clearly goes to the women's bickering amongst themselves, the clarification of relationships, the swearing and to the credit of the film, it looks organic and doesn't confuse the viewer. The actors were not seen in any serious acting, and their characters are not that different from each other. Externally, yes, internally, it is theoretically possible, but this is not revealed in the film.
'Bodies, Bodies, Bodies' is in a very youthful film. The modern music, the slang of the characters, their behavior, the lack of deep meaning. The pace of the action in the film only speeds up, which does not allow the viewer to even think about what is happening on the screen. So our favorite game of 'Pick a Killer' doesn't quite work here. More precisely, it doesn't work at all: you have to guess blindly by pointing your finger and then picking up arguments. Without setting a goal, 'Bodies, Bodies, Bodies' covers most current youth topics, mentioning them superficially but not developing a discourse on them. PTSD, Borderline Personality Disorder, teenage complexes, tic-tac-toe and horoscopes...
'Bodies, Bodies, Bodies' is tagged 'comedy' in addition to thriller, but there is nothing funny about the film. Perhaps the older generation will be amused by the youthful slang, but no more than that.
Who Should We Watch It For? Children under the age of 17, but under the supervision of an adult. Possible to watch in company to find the killer together.
Who won't like it? Those who don't know much about youth slang. Those who expect to see acting and original characters.
Will you want to revisit the film? If you know the ending, you won't need to.
