Internal Affairs 4K 1990

Great movie. I haven't seen good acting in a long time. The movie is about the life of law enforcers of order.

From the very beginning of the movie we see Richard Gere - a real policeman, who will help his own in trouble, it is shown in the moment when one of his partners accidentally killed a criminal, and Gere's character put a knife in the hand of the killed man, so that his partner did not go to jail because of the criminal. Soon we see in him and a very good friend, he tries in every way possible to beat out of the head of his best friend, played by young William Baldwin, the idea that his wife may be cheating on him.

Richard Gere played his role very well, he seemed to live in it. We see him as an exemplary father who loves his children and his wives, even with his exes he is on good terms.

On the other side of the police appears the FBI, to whom a young lieutenant as Andy Garcia has entered the service. He begins to work with a case involving the use of police force on citizens. His longtime buddy Van Stretch (William Baldwin) comes under his investigation. As a friend, he tries to get him off the case until he realizes that a cop (Richard Gere) is covering for him. The case becomes convoluted. Van Stretch (William Baldwin) asks for his best friend's help to help him, saying that the case may be closed, but he is the only witness to the crime.

After that we see a completely different cop (Richard Gere). He becomes ruthless and crazy. He scares many young officers into obeying him. He starts threatening the Feds to close the case with all sorts of innuendos about raping his wife. He kills his best friend by strangling him. We find out he's the best friend's wife's lover. We see a ruthless killer, not a policeman.

After that the confrontation between two people Denis Peck (Richard Gere) and Raymond Avilia (Andy Garcia) begins.

In the movie everything is done at the highest level. The acting is excellent, the plot is mesmerizing. You are waiting for what will be next, not waiting for the ending. Interesting for everyone who reads the work of Richard Gere and Andy Garcia.

The director's work is also excellent, he perfectly recreated the spirit of cops on different sides of the barricades.

I liked the movie very much, I advise everyone to watch it.
