A very touching movie. Here John Woo appears in his Hong Kong 'prime'. Brilliant performance by Chow Yun Fat, where he is presented in two different hypostases: a tough mobster Mark lighting cigarettes with hundred-dollar bills, and a crippled car washer waiting for a chance to restore justice.
The dilemma of a young police officer Keith, who 'imprisons' his older brother, but in the end comes to the realization that even though his brother was a 'gangster', he is still a good man. And of course he is helped by the ubiquitous Mark.
In my personal opinion, this movie was the starting point in the career of the brilliant Chow Yun Fat, who made a name for himself not so much as an 'action hero', but as a very serious psychological actor, becoming the first in a line of Southeast Asian stars.
By the way, you can correct me, but if I remember correctly, it is from this movie in Woo, the hero begins to shoot with two guns.
Frankly speaking, I highly recommend all fans of the 'action movie' genre to get acquainted with the Gongkog period of John Woo's work in more detail.
