It's clearly the loser of Bay's movies. It can't even be called a movie.
Everything from the acting of the people to the graphics is terrible. It's clearly inferior to the Bey movies. The robots had weight, you could feel their heavy footfalls. They were adequately sized, not a pathetic resemblance to something incomprehensible. The robots had facial expressions - something that is sorely lacking in Beast and the pathetic Transformers likeness.
I was waiting for an exceptional epic, explosions, slow motion, which would give a break from the action and a new stream that would be happening on the screen. But got a soap. Everything differs from the 'original' in the form of a battle of the beasts only improved shaders. And no play of light, no beautiful shots here, all polymers - as usual - you know where.
Separately about design - I adore the first generation, it's beautiful, colorful, somewhere illogical, but lampoon cartoon and very good light play. I slightly sympathize with both 'Battle of the Beasts' and its sequels, including the Japanese ones. It was a breath of freshness in the endless cubism of 'Victori' 'Headmasters' and 'Masterforce'. Something breakthrough and revolutionary.
But I couldn't discern anything good or memorable in this 'movie'. Absolutely everything about it is a parasitization of past greatness.
