It sounds weird, but Push is a way of implanting a strange thought in someone else's brain. What does a woman do with life when she no longer goes through as a teenager but has to hold out for a while before retirement? Kira (Camilla Belle) can carry out such a process. In order not to get lost in the vortex of hormones, she runs a marathon of self-discovery courses. It can be detoxified and re-born in Hong Kong, where life is known to pulsate. She breathes into nirvana. In the hustle and bustle of the big city, Paul McGuigan (Sherlock, Lucky Number Slevin) decided to shoot Push in the guerrilla-style, i.e. the cameras were hidden in vehicles and filmed the street scenes through small holes. And it feels like Paul McGuigan have decided to always fathom a period of shooting in any given city as an adventure trip. How comes? Things in a far away land are likely a daily grind, you cannot help but get highly emotional if only when you are in front of the camera.
