The film mesmerizes and does not let go until the last moment. There are religious themes, some blackness, symbolism, social problems, allusion to the seven deadly sins, confrontation and, finally, love.
The plot is innovative, a kind of road-movie about a girl and two young guys symbolizing positive and negative beginnings.
Jordan is humble, a servant boy who loves Emmy, but does not see and does not want to see what is going on around him. Some childlike naivety and complete trust in the girl bind those who dare to watch the movie to the hero.
Xavier is the devil of hell, a condensation of everything negative and terrible. And, oddly enough, so damn attractive. He does everything he can to pull Emmy over to his side.
The world in this movie is shown in a hyperbolization of vices, similar to what I encountered in 'Seven'. The atmosphere is depressing, it's completely in keeping with the movie.
The cast is good, the actors are well chosen and realistic.
The climactic scene sets the trilogy's 'i's' over the 'i's', expressing Arca's clear opinion. Well, I don't agree with him, but the movie was interesting and memorable, as it gave a lot of food for debate, discussion and constant mental revisiting of certain scenes.
