Tai Chi Master 4K 1993

While young students are training in the Shaolin temple, a stone and silent Buddha looks down on them from above. Day after day, more and more students are training and learning martial arts, some reaching extraordinary heights of martial skill, and some are learning about themselves and their own souls. And among the students there are very talented, but reckless in their actions young men. Such reckless students were Jun Bo and Chin Bo. The former came to the latter under a teacher, the former was not a lover of laws, while the latter followed all the rules. The difference of the two students did not prevent them from becoming friends. After all, even when Chin Bo was punished for another prank, then next to him was Jun Bo, and together they were responsible for what they had done. Years passed and the boys grew up, but their characters did not change, the first was the same arrogant and unyielding, and the second strictly honored the rules, exercised caution and acted not only for his own good, but also for the good of his friend. So why were they both reckless? Because Chin Bo, like a sinister quagmire, dragged his friend into dangerous adventures. And one “fine” day it came to the point where they were banished from the temple and Jun Bo followed Chin Bo. Exile and a new life. A life outside the temple. The kind of life they weren't ready for.

The second half of the movie makes us think about the value of human ideals and principles, even though, in addition to well choreographed fight scenes and quality editing, some episodes are not without a share of comicality and Jet Li lifts our spirits not only with his martial arts skills, but also with his strong acting. When Jun Bo and Chin Bo find themselves in exile, the movie gets more dynamic, and the plot develops quite quickly and the events unfold along a logical chain. The heroes have to make a hard choice and the fact that their characters are very different can play an important role in the further course of events, and meanwhile, they fight with the soldiers who occupied the city under the command of a formidable warlord, and the girls have to be rescued from trouble. They are alone in this world, alone and penniless. As long as Jun Bo does not forget the instructions of his teacher, Chin Bo endures his own metamorphosis of ideals and the heart of the latter begins to strive for power and strength, Chin Bo forgets what he learned, only combat skills remain, but are they needed when the heart seeks power and power that can cloud the mind? Time will decide everything.

Director Yuen Woo-Ping shows a very interesting story, and although in some places it seems fairy tale and naive, we can not fail to recognize its important role, the message that you need to stay true to your cause, true to yourself, true to your honor, and then the people around you will be filled with a lot of respect, and that is good. And Jet Li plays very qualitatively and believably, as well as his on-screen partner, they show all the important details of the movie, and when their paths diverge, the viewer can decide whose side to choose and who of them is more correct, and who is not so much. In this kind of movies it is impossible not to mention the fight scenes, for 1993 they fit perfectly into the timing of the picture, but it is the merit not only of Jet Li, but also of the other masters, who coped with the task, even though they were not given such an important role as the main characters. Somewhere there is a Shaolin temple, somewhere students are training, someone is learning about himself and Tai Chi, and two people will meet on the battlefield. The outcome of one battle will decide a lot.
