Yes, this is how idols suddenly leave. Some have time to prepare their admirers for it, some don't, but still, the departure of each of the idols is a big blow. But there will remain movies, movies from the category of 'remembered to the minute'. It may take six, ten, fifteen years, but still the face of Patrick Swayze, on which plays a nice smile will flash in your head, sometimes at the most unexpected moments.
Such movies, such projects, that everyone wants to remember, because he deserves it. But why not start with 'Ghost', where tragedy, like a liana, beautifully braids an iron strong hedge, the name of which is love. At the very beginning of the movie there is no hint of it - the friendly company of Sam, Molly and Carl are expanding the living space, settling it. But the viewer surely already knows which of the characters already has a bad intent. This is forgotten, however, when 'Unchained Melody' begins to play and two pairs of hands begin to flutter over the potter's wheel. Few creators are able to portray love so beautifully. The narrative moves away from the happy scenes, but does not lose its fascination. Once again you want to watch as Sam's ghost learns to pass through objects, then manipulate them. How he invisibly stays with his loved ones and how he finds a female medium. Patrick Swayze's performance is enjoyable from the first shots to the last, when his character sets out to meet the unknown world, playing with white sparks of souls. A beautiful representation of paradise, so beautiful that even in the back of your mind you want to see such a spectacle. Someday...
The movie was complemented by Demi Moore, who next to the dewy Swayze looks fragile and petite. She managed to play almost all the obvious emotions, be it joy, grief, fear or disbelief. A bit of comedy (useful comedy) was brought in by Whoopi Goldberg. And in the fact that the smile-inducing moments are so neatly distributed throughout the picture and do not distort its romance, we have to thank director Jerry Zucker, who made the first non-comedy; and through many big and small successes, one big success. A success that came to our country on videotape (still resting on the shelves) and is obviously capable of winning over a new generation. Only they won't have to ask why all the characters are voiced by the same nasal voice...
'Ghost' was not created in order to plunge into despondency. On the contrary, he is able to bring out of severe depression, showing that love is stronger than death. With this in mind, let's not forget Patrick Swayze. Not about himself, he cared in recent months, and wanted to please the audience once again, appearing on the screens ... And let's be grateful to him for that.
