Two girls decide to quarantine themselves in a country house by the lake during a pandemic. Having bought food, snacks, anticipating a fun “vacation”, they with an elevated mood settle down in a new place. But on the phone of one of the girls start receiving strange messages from a stranger, hinting that they are not alone here....
A dynamic slasher with a slightly outdated coronavirus narrative, but damn relevant at the time. Tape about justice, revenge, punishment - the final denouement is very ambiguous, because only the viewer will have to judge who is right and who is guilty.
The plot develops with a small acquaintance with the main characters, their characters and relationships, and after half an hour there comes a stage of crazy and bloody running around the cottage in an attempt to escape. And the director manages to tickle the nerves and keep the tension in the frame until the very end. When it seems that the heroines have finally escaped, the next wave of chase and struggle comes. Perhaps not all actions are logical, but it looks organic in all this nervous turmoil and fuss.
I would like to praise the picture for some destroyed stereotypes of the genre, where the victims when they fight with the haldei, do not look weak, but fight back, using all the interior items that fall under the hand; moreover, having fallen the maniac on the ground, they try to finish him, and not to run away foolishly waving their hands.
Moral: when sharing a geo-location in a social network, remember that in this case you can be easily found by sex maniacs, Oriflame sellers and even distant relatives.
In the end, the creators of the movie approached seriously to the production of the slasher, from which it turned out to be “adult” and serious in a good way. Definitely a must-see for all fans of slasher horror.
