Our distributors have tried and conveyed the whole essence of not only the heroine, but also the actress. Yes, Ruby Rose is such a thing.
Ali is a retired US Army soldier. During the mission, the mother and daughter, whom she was guarding, died. She now has PTSD. She returns home and gets a job as a doorman in an elite house. The family of her deceased sister lives here (another drama). Life begins to improve, but suddenly robbers with weapons enter the house, and she alone has to save the situation and her family.
What we liked. Action non-stop, I'm pretty tired of conversational films, I can't remember high-quality action films this year. Fights here are at their best, but the director is Japanese (shoots horror films and thrillers), therefore, in some places it's funny, but bad guys die in a particularly sophisticated way, and always in different ways. Therefore 18+
Tricks. I know that Ruby Rose tries to do all the stunts herself, it commands respect. I guess I haven't seen anything new after Batwoman. But! This rather fragile girl moves great. Perhaps that is why the directors are happy to invite her to action films, although I doubt that she will star in melodramas, the character is not the same.
Actors. The main character is in her place. Jean Reno ordered? And here he is in the role of a very intellectual villain. I really liked the little actress, Kayla Lord Cassidy (Ali's niece). This girl gave out so much emotion that she stole all my attention)
Minuses. Perhaps they did not hold out in emotions, mimicry, and what else should be there. But to be honest, this is perhaps one of the few films this year that made you put down your phone to watch all the action from start to finish. Quite a good result.
