“Den of Thieves” - a story about the actions of a law enforcement team of one of the largest cities in the United States to suppress the criminal actions of a well-organized and daring criminal group engaged in bank robberies.
Now to the point. Without dwelling on the endless arguments about what was done well, and what was not very well, leaving philosophical reflections and skepticism overboard, I note that the next joint creation of J. Butler (the protagonist of the film) and Christian Gyudgest (director of the picture) turned out to be very entertaining, dynamic, intriguing and high-quality crime-detective action movie.
The development of events takes place in a well-oiled and pleasant to perceive rhythm. Each action, each step of the characters is explained, hence there are no questions about where it came from and why it happened like that. The movie is saturated with various genre elements, there are shootouts, and dashing races, and work routine, and family troubles. At the same time, I would like to emphasize the work of invited consultants, directors of fight scenes. The results of their work were more like a practical guide to combat shooting for special forces.
Conscientiously worked and the guys responsible for the selection of actors. Who in turn, very worthily coped with the task, convincingly embodying their characters on the screen. In addition, it is impossible not to mention the musical design. All the melodies and songs used were very competently superimposed on the visuals, creating a single, complete and holistic picture for perception.
