In the not-so-distant 1990s, when an unimaginable number of films of various genres and styles were released, another masterpiece by the well-known Clive Barker came out—Lord of Illusions.
This film features a multitude of bizarre, beautiful, and perhaps even unusual sets, in which Barker's hand is undoubtedly felt. Of course, watching the film now, it's no surprise that such things were once done, but when you remember the name of the creator, everything falls into place. The plot itself develops fairly evenly and, in principle, without any sudden twists or turns, which naturally makes the film interesting and consistent. Clive worked hard on the script, and it shows, because there are no nonsensical actions by the characters or other dissatisfying elements. The film may be a little drawn out, but believe me, it's all worth it.
Overall, it's a very good horror film that is interesting, unremarkable, and unpredictable.
