I just don't understand people who criticize this horror film, which I think is wonderful. Why get upset about the lack of a script, the abundance of blood, or the unoriginal ending? What did you expect? Did anyone see the trailer or poster for “The Massacre” and think, “Oh, this must be a smart, serious film about the profound problems of the universe. I'll go see it, I really want a break from all the blood on screen”? I don't think anyone did. So why get upset? You knew what you were going to see.
Or why cry about the distorted original? In my opinion, every director has the right to see the story of a maniac with a chainsaw in their own way. Freedom of opinion, after all. If you don't like it, rewatch the original.
Otherwise, the film takes its rightful place among its peers. Lots of blood, little meaning... But very well shot. Some moments are, as they say, chilling. So watch it and you won't regret it (if, of course, you like this kind of thing).
