My Lucky Stars 4K 1985

I wouldn't say that this film goes beyond the typical Jackie Chan style and is something special, but for Hong Kong cinema of those years and for the world's collection of action films, it is undoubtedly an outstanding phenomenon, like everything else created by the famous trio of Chan, Hung, and Biao.

In crazy fights, scattering crowds of enemies, the heroes also manage to show us their extraordinary sense of humor. Often it's hard to tell what the film has more of: spectacular stunts, deadly fights, or pure comedy? Let's just say there's more than enough of everything!

Jackie is a good guy who never disappoints in stunts or fights, Sammo is a cheerful fat guy who doesn't care about anything, a kind of redhead who constantly contrasts the seriousness of the action movie and the plot with his behavior. As for his friends, each one is a comedy act in his own right, but together they're just brilliant!

And there's no need to even mention the girls—the Japanese girl who fights the Chinese girl in the finale is simply perfection: a perfect body, grace, beauty, charm, and martial arts skills! It's a shame that Sammo knocked her out so brutally.

All this is painfully reminiscent of Sammo Hung's earlier film, Winners and Sinners, but it's a pleasant repetition. The film has long gone down in cinema history, as have all the joint works of the three legendary friends. A classic of the genre, the golden years of Jackie Chan.
