It is impossible to watch actors such as Al Pacino perform without feeling enthusiastic! It seems as if this individual sold his soul to the Devil in order to act so inimitably. All of his gestures, facial expressions, and burning eyes make it impossible to take your eyes off him or miss a single word or movement.
The plot, based on biblical dogma and often interspersed with quotes from the Bible, is quite complex and interesting. The actors' performance deserves applause; young, not yet spoiled by The Matrix, but with some acting experience (in the film Speed) Keanu Reeves plays Lomax, a promising lawyer who has never lost a case in his career and who deservedly receives an invitation from Milton (not to be confused with Hilton!), the head of New York's largest law firm. The move, it turns out, is fraught with many obstacles...
I knew that The Devil's Advocate was an excellent film, because it stars the seasoned actor Al Pacino, and all his films are usually very, very good, but what I saw exceeded all my expectations! It was simply a storm of new sensations and another very good life experience, because films with Pacino really teach you how to live, teach you about different human relationships, and Pacino himself often delivers very impressive, ‘loaded’ monologues.
A terribly beautiful, highly emotional film that will always find a place in any movie collection.
