Each of us has our own dreams; some we lose as we grow up, while others—the most cherished and inspiring ones—we carry with us through the years, determined to make them a reality someday. Will Harris—the main character of the cartoon—had such a dream; this idea kept him from despairing and allowed him to fall asleep peacefully at night, hoping for possible success and universal recognition. Nothing in life comes easy, so in his quest to one day become the greatest professional beastball (aka basketball) player of his generation, he has to work hard and hone his skills on the streets, learning new techniques and gradually developing his abilities.
One day, Will gains popularity online and, at the same time, gets the chance to fulfill his lifelong dream of playing side by side with his idols, despite the dismissive attitude toward his appearance and, in particular, his small stature as a potential player. The hero had nothing but an unattainable fantasy and memories of the golden days of his childhood, so warm and dear to his heart, and that is precisely why his desire did not fade over the years, but only gained a new, unexpected strength capable of forever changing not only the rules of the game but also the approach to it, ensuring that football is perceived not merely as a job focused on winning awards and wearing out one’s body, but as a life’s work to which he is ready to devote himself entirely and enjoy the process of the game.
“GOAT” features a solid storyline that will appeal to viewers of all ages and generations, combining not only the latest trends but also serving as a treasure trove of valuable ideas, thoughts, and reflections on life. Additionally, “GOAT” features quite unusual and intriguing visuals, reminiscent more of comic books than the standard, familiar animation styles. The soundtrack serves as a great complement to the unique visuals, adding to the already cheerful and vibrant overall atmosphere of the project.
“GOAT” truly teaches us to dream—not necessarily on a grand scale—but simply reminds us how important it is not to forget why we’re all here, to always remember that the process is often far more important than the result, and that a genuinely caring and friendly attitude can be infinitely more important than any victory.
