A great comedy horror film from the late ’80s. This isn’t the kind of horror movie that tries to scare the audience to death with sudden appearances of people wielding knives or wearing masks; there are no blood-soaked bodies, as is often the case in typical horror films, and none of those blue-skinned ten-year-olds that have become popular in horror movies lately. It’s simply a fun, adventure-filled horror comedy with elements of fantasy, where you never know what’s waiting for you behind the next door.
As for the first movie—House 2 is a worthy sequel, every bit as good as the first one, so anyone who liked the first movie won’t be disappointed by the second one, that’s for sure.
I don’t know why the next two installments, "House of Horror" and especially "House 4", are even considered sequels, since these films can no longer be called comedies in the style of "House" and "House 2"—they’re just second-rate horror movies that, in my opinion, shouldn’t have been made as sequels.
